Amendment To Ferry Schedule

April – May

The river channel running under the Matagarup Bridge, adjacent to Optus Stadium, will be closed during the most part of April and May. The construction of the bridge is in its final stages and this incorporates a lot of activity on the water with heavy lifting cranes and barges.

Now the not-so-good part about this is that we will not have access to Claisebrook Cove during this period as the entrance to the cove is on the wrong side of the channel for us. But all is not lost… Our morning and afternoon tea cruises will divert to On The Point and the Barmah Café [Tony and his crew are great hosts]. And our return ferry trips will head up to the bridge construction where we will ‘hover’ around to take in some of the fascinating construction works.

Impact summary

  • One-way ferry trip to Claisebrook: Unable to access Claisebrook Cove during this period
  • Return ferry trip: We will continue to conduct this cruise throughout this period and just include the bridge construction as part of the experience and commentary [bear in mind we won’t be able to access Claisebrook Cove]
  • Afternoon and Morning Tea Cruise: Continue as normal albeit we will be stopping off at the Barmah Café at On The Point for the tea/coffee/refreshments
  • Twilight Cruises: Continue as normal

In other news..!

As of June we will not only resume services to Claisebrook Cove but will be including the new Jetty at Optus Stadium on our regular ferry run. It's an exciting time to be living in Perth!
